Mall of Africa

Waterfall City, Midrand, Gauteng

Mall of Africa is South Africa's busiest shopping mall, and officially voted South Africa’s Coolest Mall for eight consecutive years.

Located in Waterfall City on the N1 at the Allandale off-ramp, it’s positioned perfectly in between Johannesburg and Pretoria, in an area that has become Gauteng's most ambitious mixed-use urban developments.

Since opening in April 2016, Mall of Africa has consistently outperformed expectations. Foot count hit a record 17.2 million in the 12 months to April 2026, while trading density grew 4.8%, generating close to R600 million in retail sales per month.

For brands that want to operate at the highest possible level of visibility and quality, this is South Africa's most compelling retail address. However, with a 99% occupancy rate, spaces for short term rental here are not guaranteed, and always curated by the landlord’s team to ensure perfect brand-product-market fit.
